Industry: Healthcare| Client: MDA (Magen David Adom)
Magen David Adom (abbreviated as MDA) is Israel's National Emergency Service, providing emergency medical relief via its ambulances and medical centers.
MADA required a solution that would allow them to both dock and charge tablets in their emergency care vehicles.
There were several criteria that needed to be met: MDA needed their solution to be shock-resistant, as well as being easily securable as the MADA emergency vehicles often drive at fast speeds. Additionally, MADA’s operation in fast-paced urgent conditions means tablets need to be quickly released.
Compulocks designed a hybrid solution made of high-grade Aluminium Metal and Rubber Silicone Body, custom-designed to the exact measurements of the tablet. This allowed for a durable, solid and timeproof tablet suitable for emergency situations.
The case has an ergonomically designed Hand Grip with an adjustable strap and 360-degree tablet rotation that offer easy grip and comfortable hold. It easily accommodates both portrait and landscape viewing modes. Complete with a “fast release” clip and magnetic charging cable, both the need for an easily insertable and quickly charging tablet were solved. The clip allows for the tablet to be easily pressed down and released from its holder, while an integrated magnetic charging cable allowed for similarly quick release, without having to worry about tricky detachable wires.
Completing the solution was the shock-proof bracket and holder, alongside a docking head and tray for Bluetooth keyboard.
Compulocks’ innovative solution has since been deployed on a fleet of over 1000 ambulances nationwide.
Compulocks designs and manufactures custom hardware enclosure security solutions.
